The penitential procession with the image of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, organized by the Superior Council of Guilds Pasionarias of Molina de Segura, will take place on Friday, March 18, at 22.00 hours, coinciding with the celebration of Good Friday.
The procession will depart from the Church of Ntra. Sra. De la Asuncion de Molina de Segura and through the streets of the old town, in the Barrio del Castillo (Pensioner, Benavente, Plaza de Cristo Rey, San Vicente Vazquez Mella, Cid and Juan Sandoval), ending again in the Plaza of the Church of Ntra. Sra. de la Asuncion, where the meeting will take place with the images of San Juan and La Dolorosa.
The penitential procession, on Via Crucis, was recovered fifteen years ago, after nearly forty years of absence and the full restoration of the image, which will be carried by representatives of the four brotherhoods that make up the Cabildo (Brotherhood of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows, Brotherhood of the Holy Burial, and Confraternity of the Rosary and Resurrection).
The procession will be accompanied by the sound of the drums of the band Good Friday and the lighting of candles carrying persons accompanying the procession.
The Nazareno de Molina will wear his old robe, it restored a few years ago by the Superior Council of Guilds, and will be carried by a throne made of nickel silver.
Moreover, after the penitential procession with the image of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, will be the procession with the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, at 23.00 hours, which will be transferred from the Church of Ntra. Mrs. of the assumption to the Hermitage of San Roque.
This procession is organized by the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows.
Also at 23.00 pm from the Church of Ntra. Sra. De la Asuncion, proceed to the transfer of the image of San Juan to the Church of San Vicente Martir.
Upon arrival a salve be sung to the image of the Virgen de la Esperanza.
This event is organized by the Brotherhood of the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.
