The Museum of the Enclave of the Wall, MUDEM, opened in Molina de Segura (11/03/2016)

The molinense City Council has organized two OPEN DAYS Saturday 12 and Sunday March 13

The opening ceremony of the new Museum of the Wall Enclave (MUDEM) Molina de Segura took place today Friday, March 11, in the Barrio del Castillo.

They attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Pedro Antonio Sánchez López, and the Minister of Culture of the Region of Murcia, Noelia Arroyo Hernandez.

First, it was discovered a commemorative plaque at the gateway to the new cultural space, and after the speeches of the authorities, there has been a visit inside.

In order that citizens may know the MUDEM, the City of Molina de Segura has organized two OPEN DAYS, which will take place on Saturday March 12, from 17.00 to 20.00 pm and Sunday 13 March, 10.00 13.00.

Starting on March 15, the museum will open at the following times: Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00.

The works of MUDEM have involved a total investment of 10,283,903.88 euros, and have been implemented by several companies in different phases:

Contract with Construcciones Villegas SL (company subrogated Ploder the previous contract): 5.891.208,77 €.

Contract with Ferrovial SA (finishing work after the abandonment of the work of Construcciones Villegas): 2.179.741,53 €.

musealization contract by Lunatus SL, Grop Exposicions i Museografia SL and Floria Group: 2.212.953,58 €.

The total area of ​​ENCLAVE OF THE WALL is 5,000 m2 and houses the following facilities: the Museum of the Enclave of the Wall (MUDEM);

an exhibition hall;

a multipurpose educational workshop, associated with the museum for group work;

Virginia Martinez Fernandez Auditorium, 500 m2 and equipped with 240 seats, which have a special relationship with the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez;

and a historical and digital file associated with the file Medina Sidonia.

MUSEUM OF ENCLAVE MURALLA (MUDEM)

The museum, which fail in their space the appearance of the remains found from 2004 to 2008 of the medieval walls of the town, is an interactive experience with cutting-edge technologies that immerses visitors in the everyday environment of Molina in the Middle Ages.
