The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday, March 10, at 10.00 am

The exhibition of paintings THE COLOR OF REMEMBRANCE of the Alzheimer's Association AFAD Molina, organized by the Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, opens to the public on Thursday, March 10.

The opening ceremony will take place at 10.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall Los Postigos (in Pensioner Street, No. 3).

The exhibition will remain open until April 3 and will run: morning, Monday through Friday, from 10.00 to 13.30, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00;

and evenings, Tuesday through Friday from 18:00 to 20:00.

With the exhibition The Color of Remembrance, AFAD Molina wants to publicize the work made by users of the Day Centre Association in art therapy workshop, funded by Obra Social La Caixa, through therapies project against Oblivion.

Art Therapy is a mental health profession that uses the creative process of "making art" to improve physical, mental and emotional well being of people of all ages.

It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic expression helps resolve conflicts and develop interpersonal skills.

It is also beneficial to manage behavior, reduce stress, strengthen self-esteem and achieve self-knowledge.

"Through this workshop, we want to help people with some form of dementia improve their abilities of expression and their desire for communication. Through artistic expression are offered a space and a time exclusively for them, they feel special characters, "says the instructor of the workshop, Mondejar Torrano Angeles.

"The aim is to be stimulated and give them the satisfaction of having created something, and get it.
