The 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), approved by the United Nations General Assembly on September 25, 2015, is the international political framework that the Member States of the United Nations have adopted as a roadmap for the sustainability of people's lives from a social, cultural, economic and environmental perspective.
It consists of seventeen objectives that directly connect international, national and local action, and that place cities and their governments as primary public powers for their effective achievement.
The Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) has been included by the Government in the Spanish Action Plan for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, for which the Governing Board of the FEMP approved the November 26, 2019 the creation of the Network of Local Entities to develop the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda.
The Network is made up of Local Governments that are committed to locating and implementing the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda in a transversal way in municipal public policies.
The activity of this Network is aimed at promoting the coordination of actions between Local Governments, allowing to achieve better results in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in municipalities and provinces, through localization and development of the SDGs at the local level.
The Network is an instrument that will offer tools to Local Governments to achieve their objectives, in accordance with the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Spain.
And, in addition, it will offer Local Governments guidelines, information and proposals for actions to deal with the crisis caused by COVI19, bearing in mind one of the main premises of the 2030 Agenda: leave no one behind.

In view of the above and prior opinion of the General Affairs Information Commission, it is proposed to adopt the following AGREEMENTS Approve the accession of the City Council of Molina to the Network of Local Entities for the development of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda and, consequently, undertakes to work on the approval of an Action Plan or Local Strategy in the that a situation analysis and a plan for localization and implementation of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda be prepared.
At the same time, an information and awareness-raising process should be initiated for the participation of all local and economic agents and citizen organizations represented in municipal life, for their involvement in the local implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
Assume the Declaration in favor of the 2030 Agenda approved by the FEMP in the framework of its XII Plenary.
Appoint Ms.
Esther Clavero Mira, Mayor-President, as political representative for the Network Assembly and Mr.
Juan Francisco Garc a Saor n, Technician of the Council of Citizen Participation as representative technician to attend meetings and working groups of the Network.
Approve the expense of the annual fee amounting to € 2,000, approved by the Governing Board of the FEMP on October 27, 2020.
