to 2 p.m.

On this day the municipal service proposes, to all those interested in visiting this area, discover the characteristics and ecological values ??of a protected plant species, the taray, which appears associated with the wetlands of the Region and which is very frequent in the municipality of Moline.

To discover this and other plant species that appear in this natural space, informative and informative materials will be provided that will allow them to be identified, to better know how they adapt to these spaces and some curiosities related to said species.

To complete this visit, as every opening Sunday, there will be a loan of binoculars with which to observe the aquatic birds that have made this space a benchmark in the Murcia region.

The taray (Tamarix sp.) Is a shrub with long, flexible branches that grows, normally in damp soils where we find salts, on the banks of rivers and in the riverbeds of ramblas.

Its leaves are scale-shaped, similar to those of cypress trees, and fall off during the fall and winter months.

This species is very frequent in Molina de Segura due to the ability it has to expel, through the leaves, the salts it takes from the soil, which allows it to adapt to the wetlands of Molina de Segura, among which it is found the Pond of the Tarays, where this shrubby species is especially abundant.

The Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente Albaladejo, proposes "to all the residents of Molina de Segura and other municipalities in the Region to approach the Protected Wetland of Campot jar and enjoy the species it houses, in addition to highlight the tasks that, from the Department of the Environment of this municipality, are carried out to maintain and conserve species so important for the functioning of our ecosystems ".
