| The solidarity initiative of the Department of Culture of the Molinense City Council will take place on Friday, December 18, from 5:00 p.m.
to 8:00 p.m., and the Saturday, December 19, from 10:00 to 13:00 | Manuel Pujante Luna, alias Hilarito, was a bandit from Moline who committed his misdeeds between the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The writer Paco L pez Mengual recovered this historical figure in his book Hilarito's gun and other stories they told me, thus incorporating it into the city's imaginary and giving rise to new artistic interpretations of the character, both through theater (Histories that narrated to me) and through music, with the song Hilarito due to the group The Illuminados.
Now, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the bandit from Moline will go out again to the streets of Molina de Segura, blunderbuss in hand, to assault the neighbors to obtain from them some coins.
Following the myth of Robin Hood, Hilarito will collect money from the neighbors and give him his C ritas booty, so that he can distribute it among the needy.
It is an activity of a solidarity, historical, literary and festive nature that will take place on December 18 and 19, organized and sponsored by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, with the collaboration of C ritas and the theater group of the Alter Cultural Association.
The citizens of Moline will have the possibility, in addition to offering in a sympathetic way a donation for C ritas, to take some photos with the famous bandit, the King of the Sierra de la Pila.
The young actor Adri n Castell n Garc a will play the bandit Hilarito.
The activity will be carried out in accordance with the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, including the use of a mask and the maintenance of the safety distance.
