How to recycle at home in the yellow container is a radio contest organized with the aim of motivating the population to collaborate in the selective separation of waste and encourage the contribution and exchange of original ideas and viable that get citizens to recycle more and better.
The Department of the Environment and the municipal radio station Radio Compañía (98.8 FM) have organized this contest in which the radio listeners have made proposals to facilitate recycling at home, selective separation, especially the adequate differentiation and separation of the waste that is deposited in the yellow container and also the possibilities of reuse of this waste.
Participants in the categories of adults and minors have sent audios or text messages through WhatsApp and the email of Radio Compañía.

As for the awards, the tablet will allow better access to online education for the winning student, and the stay in a rural accommodation in the municipality contributes to the assessment of the rural and natural environment of the municipality through the promotion of local rural tourism.
This act closes the Molina communication campaign, think with your lungs, recycle, with which the Department of the Environment of the Molina de Segura City Council, through the Environmental Education Service, and In collaboration with the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, ECOEMBES and SERCOMOSA, it has influenced public awareness of the importance of collaborating in the selective collection of waste to help improve air quality and reduce our contribution to climate change.
The actions of the campaign in a year, in which the health of the environment and our health have taken on special relevance, have been adapted to the current circumstances of health crisis and have avoided direct contact activities with the citizen.
For this reason, actions such as this radio contest have been developed, with which an attempt has been made to recover traditional means of communication, but without renouncing digital media.
Offline actions have been developed, in which the correct separation of waste is promoted both outside and inside the house, as well as in the care of the air.
A massive mailing with informative leaflets has been carried out to resolve doubts about the separation and correct deposit of waste in the containers.
Also, within these offline actions, billboards have been installed in the Public Clean Minispoints of different areas of the urban area and districts, with messages from the Think with your lungs campaign, and others that remember the waste that is deposited in the yellow container and which is not, paying special attention in this case to gloves and masks.
In addition, the communication has been supported by an online campaign on the Facebook profile of the Molina City Council from mid-August to December.
The objective of this campaign has been to inform, in a more visual and attractive way, of the importance of waste separation.
Among the actions carried out in collaboration with the municipal radio station Radio Compania, in addition to the contest How to recycle at home in the yellow container, commercials have been broadcast with the campaign's messages and monogram programs have been carried out.
Graphics, with the participation of political and technical officials from the Councils for the Environment and Municipal Services, and representatives and technicians from Ecoembes.
These programs have been dedicated to the collaboration between Ecoembes and the Molina de Segura City Council in communication campaigns and, specifically, on the communication strategy of the Think with the lungs campaign, focusing on concrete actions of the Molina proposal, think with your lungs, recycle.
Also, through Environmental Education and awareness raising, the need to associate good habits in waste management with environmental and health benefits has been deepened.
Finally, with the aim of promoting citizen collaboration for the proper functioning of municipal selective collection services to guarantee the recycling of waste, citizens have been informed about the local reality of selective collection, municipal infrastructure and services, municipal regulations, problems and recommendations to facilitate citizen collaboration and the provision of services.
The Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente Albaladejo, has highlighted the importance of campaigns such as Molina, think with your lungs, recycle, with which, coinciding with the development from September of most of the actions, there has been a significant improvement in the separation of waste, considerably reducing the amount of improper waste, which is currently below the established limits of 25%, the maximum that is established as a reference for determine the quality of the contribution in the yellow container.
