The Molina Hospital renews the QH + 1 star Hospital Quality Accreditation (04/12/2020)

Two years after obtaining it, the Hospital de Molina maintains its Hospital Quality standards and renews the QH + 1-star Accreditation of the Foundation Institute for the Development and Integration of Health (IDIS Foundation), within the framework of the VII call for the QH-Quality Healthcare Accreditation of said Foundation, held this morning virtually. "At Hospital de Molina we maintain a strong commitment and an important commitment to quality and continuous improvement in our daily work: we work by processes, we use the Lean - Six Sigma methodology, we have just renewed the Quality and Environment certifications for ISO 9001 and 14001 Standards, and also in Patient Safety and Prevention of Nosocomial Infections (UNE 179003 and UNE 179006), etc.

Therefore, renewing the QH + 1 * Accreditation, which we already obtained two years ago, means that with the The work of the entire human and professional team at our Hospital is continually exceeding and improving the levels of quality in health care that we have been providing to citizens ", says the Managing Director of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez. A total of 92 candidatures have been submitted to this VII edition, of which 20 have done so to obtain accreditation for the first time; 18, to improve their category; and 54, to renew the QH obtained in its V edition - as it has been in the case of the Hospital de Molina -, since this recognition has a validity period of two years. The IDIS Foundation emphasizes that quality healthcare requires agility, efficiency, without waiting or delays, with the most appropriate means and the most advanced technology, and seeking the best health results based on available scientific knowledge, trying to adapt each action to the needs of each person and taking into account their situation, circumstances and context.

Quality is specified in terms and needs of infrastructures, resources of all kinds, procedures and processes, safety and results fundamentally, and is quantified by indicators that range from the patient's own experience that with their opinion determines their ability to choice,to the fact of measuring and improving all the attributes related to achieving the best possible health results based on evidence and existing scientific knowledge. The synthetic quality indicator on which the QH (Quality Healthcare) accreditation is based combines all the most outstanding certifications in terms of quality, excellence in service, safety and social responsibility, among others; and establishes an identification through a progressive system from the level of access to the system (seal) to the highest creditable level of quality (seal + 3 stars). About IDIS The IDIS Foundation is a non-profit organization whose objective is to value the contribution of private healthcare to the healthcare of our country and to promote the improvement of the health of all Spaniards.

To do this, it encourages and develops all the initiatives that from the private health sector are aimed at achieving an optimal level of care and health for all sectors of the population.
