| The Mayor visits, today Tuesday June 23, at 6.30 pm, the area where they will take connection and road safety works to be carried out soon | The Molina de Segura City Council, through the departments of Public Roads, Mobility and Citizen Security, will soon carry out works to improve road safety and connect the Fátima neighborhood with the existing roundabout on Avenida de la Industria (former national 301). The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Roads, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, the Councilor for Mobility, Eliseo García Cantó, and municipal technicians, will visit the area where this project will take place TODAY Tuesday June 23, at 6.30 p.m.
Meeting point of the visit: corner of the pharmacy of the Barrio de Fátima, next to the roundabout. The Molinense Town Hall has analyzed and studied possible improvements in terms of pedestrian accessibility and road traffic along the Avenida de la Industria, from the intersection of the Carretera de Alguazas to the Fátima roundabout.
In this first phase, the improvement of the link between the Fatima roundabout and Avda.
García Lorca will be proposed, creating a direct entrance lane towards García Lorca, modifying the existing parterre and creating a pedestrian plaza towards the residential area of ??the Fatima neighborhood. In the second of the proposed actions, the feasibility of being able to open an access (with directions of entry and exit) from the Fatima roundabout to Calle Agriculturaor, as the Barrio de Fátima does not have direct access to the national and vehicles are forced to cross different secondary streets of the neighborhood in order to reach Calle Alicante and, hence, Avenida de la Industria.
With the new access to the roundabout, the entire Barrio de Fátima will be able to access and exit from Calle Agricultura, greatly improving the road management of the area.
