Presentation of the book Participatory Budgets: Contributions and limits to radicalize democracy, on Thursday, June 18, at the Postcovid-19 videoconference sessions in Molina de Segura (16/06/2020)

The initiative is promoted by the Department of Citizen Participation of the Moline Consistory, together with the Federation of Interbarrios Neighborhood Associations and the Open Chair for Innovation and Participation of the universities of Murcia and Polytechnic of Cartagena The cycle of telematic conferences Postcovid-19, face the future of cities in the keys of Citizen Participation, promoted by the Department of Citizen Participation of the Molina de Segura City Council, together with the Federation of Interbarrios Neighborhood Associations and the Open Chair for Innovation and the Participation of the universities of Murcia and Polytechnic of Cartagena, has its third appointment on Thursday, June 18, at 7:30 p.m., with the presentation of the book Participatory Budgets: Contributions and limits to radicalize democracy. The videoconference will include: the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira; the book's coordinators, Professor Emeritus of Development Planning at University College London, Yves Cabannes, and Doctor of Political Science and Public Administration and Economist, José Manuel Mayor; and the President of the Council of Transparency of the Region of Murcia, José Molina Molina.

The presentation will also include: Gisela Barbosa, from the Câmara Municipal de Valongo; Oliver Escobar of the University of Edinburgh and What Works Scotland; Angela O'Hagan of Glasgow Caledonian University; and Miguel Silva Graça, from CITTA - Centro de Investigac¸a ~ o do Territo´rio, Transportes e Ambiente (Universidade de Coimbra) and Lisbon technician.

All of them are also authors of the book. The publication Participatory Budgets: Contributions and limits to radicalize democracy is made up of different monographs by the following authors and authors, Esther Clavero Mira, José Manuel Mayor Balsas, Gloria Alarcón García, Antonia González Salcedo, Virginia Gutiérrez Barbarrusa, José Antonio Cano Díaz , José Molina Molina, Encarna Hernández Rodríguez, José Luis Ros Medina, Helena Oliva Palazón, Andreia Mateus, Carolina Jasmins, Gisela Barbosa, Vicente Barragán Robles, José Manuel Sanz Alcántara, Rafael Romero, Miguel Silva Graça, Oliver Escobar, Fiona Garven, Chris Harkins, Kathleen Glazik, Simón Cameron, Ali Stoddart, Angela O'hagan and Yves Cabannes. All registrants will receive an email with the link to access the conference on the last day of registration, Thursday June 18, starting at 2:00 p.m. The last conference of the cycle will address the following theme: New sources of employment after the pandemic, by Luis Molina Temboury, on Thursday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m.
