The string department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes a cello master class, by Juan Mellado Centenero, cello teacher, on Wednesday 4 and Thursday, March 5, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium, at MUDEM.
The course is aimed at students of this specialty.
Juan Mellado Centenero begins his studies of cello at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Murcia.
In those same years he also receives classes from great professors, such as Rafael Ramos, the professors of the Tchaikovsy Conservatory in Moscow, Alexander Kniazev, Dmitri Miller and Alexander Rudin, and in the continuous courses he performs with cellist Miguel Angel Clares.
At an orchestral level he has worked under the baton of Norbert Koop, Vladimir Valek, Adrian Leaper, Salvador Brotons, Benito Lauret, Manuel Hernández Silva, Zakhar Bron, César Álvarez, Igor Dronov, Támas Vásáry, Alexander Vedernikov, JM Rodilla, Christian Badea and Lin CAT.
He has also been part of the Classical Orchestra of the Region of Murcia and the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, being a soloist of the latter and with which he toured China the 2002-2003 season.
He also performs, in that same season, a concert tour, invited by the FIOJ, by Murcia and Germany, as a soloist with the Youth Orchestra of Bochum (Germany), obtaining excellent reviews.
In his last academic year he receives classes from cellists R. Aldulescu, Gaetano Nasillo (baroque cello) and Alexander Rudin.
He finished his studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia under the tutelage of Mariano Melguizo cello professor, with the highest qualifications in his specialty and, in parallel, he was a regular student in the classes taught in Barcelona by cellist Damián Martínez (Prof. Musikene, ESMUC and soloist of the OBC).
He then spent a year with Stanimir Todorov at the Malmö Higher School of Music (Sweden), where he performed a successful chamber recital tournée;
continuing his studies later, with Todorov, as a guest student at the International Menuhin Music School (IMMA), where he receives the Special Acknowledgment of the faculty staff.
In the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons he was linked to the Orchestra of Córdoba, occupying a position of Assistant Soloist with cellist Mikhail Milman.
He is currently a contributor to the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Malaga.
A seven-year cycle has just finished occupying the Cello Chair at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia Manuel Massotti Littel.
