The Department of Culture of Molina de Segura organizes the course How to look at a painting, taught by Eva Cagigal from January to March 2020 (09/12/2019)

The How to look at a painting course, promoted by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, and taught by Eva Cagigal from January to March 2020 at MUDEM, was presented at a press conference today Monday, December 9.

The Councilor for Culture, Soledad Nortes Navarro, the municipal coach Domingo Hernández García, and the Salamanca artist Eva Cagigal attended.

The activity will take place in the Workshop Room of the Enclave de la Muralla Museum (MUDEM), from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on January 14, 21 and 28;

February 4, 11, 18 and 25;

and 3, 10, 17, 24 and March 31.

The course program is as follows:

- Art in prehistory: in search of the third dimension.

- Art in preclassical civilizations.

- Function of art in ancient Greece.

- Geometrical, orientalizing, archaic, classical and Hellenistic periods.

- Art and power in ancient Rome.

- Monarchical, republican and imperial periods.

- The High Middle Ages: Paleo-Christian, Byzantine, Islamic and Pre-Romanesque art.

- The Low Middle Ages: Romanesque and Gothic periods.

The road to the third dimension.

- Humanism and Modern Age.

- The new conception of man.

- The splendor of the arts: the Renaissance.

- Technical improvement and formalism in the Baroque.

- The era of revolutions: the Enlightenment and Neoclassicism.

- The romanticism.

- The crisis of figuration: Impressionism.

- First avant-garde adventures in the 19th century.

- The end of the illustrated project: crisis of human identity and change of the century.

- Towards the limits of art: the avant-garde of the twentieth century.

Eva Cagigal (Salamanca, 1976) has a degree in Art History from the University of Salamanca (1994-1998) and completed the last year of a degree at the University of Sapienza, Rome (Erasmus Scholarship).

He specialized in Museography and Exhibition Techniques at the Complutense University of Madrid (1998-2000).

She has worked as: artistic director in three art galleries, managing and coordinating exhibitions and projects;

assistant director and coordinator of the International Landscape Workshops of Blanca, Murcia (2009 and 2010);

coordinator of the Art Galleries program for the PAC project (2008);

documentary filmmaker of The Invisible Place.

History of Contemporary Art in Murcia, for the José García Jiménez Foundation (Murcia 2009);

and technical assistant at the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia (2009).

From 2011 to 2014 she coordinated the general program and directed the program of plastic arts of the Artistic and Cultural Association LA AZOTEA, of which she was the driving force and is a founding partner.

He has participated as Jury of Plastic Arts in competitions such as Rendibú, Prize of Arts of La Verdad (2016-2018) and the Mucho Más Mayo festival (2018), where he also coordinates visits to the facilities and offers lectures on Contemporary Public Art.

He currently combines his work as a teacher at the University of Murcia in the Specialist Master in Cultural Management and Economy of Culture, with monographic courses on Art History and Appreciation of Contemporary Art in cultural centers.

Since 2016 she is the Coordinator of the Festival Titeremurcia, International Festival of Puppet and Object Theater of the Region of Murcia.

Registration can be done from 16 years, with a price of 32.10 euros.

Method of payment: by letter of payment, from December 9, 2019 to January 9, 2020, at 3:00 p.m.

There are 30 places, by strict order of registration.

Registration will only be considered effective after payment of the corresponding fee.
