Responsible for the URBACT European sustainable urban development project visit Molina de Segura on November 13 and 14 (12/11/2019)

The project, called Cities4CRS, develops comprehensive municipal strategies to foster and stimulate corporate responsibility in the Fatima neighborhood and its surroundings

On the occasion of the participation of Molina de Segura in the European URBACT III CITIES4CSR project, Comprehensive municipal strategies to promote and stimulate corporate responsibility in urban areas, on Wednesday, November 13 and Thursday, November 14, they will visit the Chiara Minotti municipality of the Department of European Union and Foreign Affairs of the City of Milan, project leader, and Steffen Wetzstein, expert leader and European evaluator of URBACT.

A visit will be made to the neighborhood under intervention, in this case the Barrio de Fátima, as well as to the local companies Francisco Aragón and Soltec, in which various municipal authorities and technicians will participate.

During this meeting, there will be the presence of the University of Murcia-RSC Chair.

The most relevant activities of the visit program are as follows:

Wednesday, November 13th

- 09.00 11.00: meeting of the Urbact Local Group with the head of the European Union and Foreign Affairs of the City of Milan, Chiara Minotti, and the European expert leader, Steffen Wetzstein.

- 11.00, in the Government Hall of the City Council: meeting with municipal authorities and, at approximately 12.00 hours, meeting with the media.

The Second Deputy Mayor, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, attends.

- 4:00 pm 6:00 pm: visit to companies (SOLTEC and Francisco Aragón).

- 6.30 pm, in the auditorium of the CEIP Ntra. Mrs. of Fatima (in Avenida García Lorca, No. 70): meeting of the Local Group Urbact.

Thursday November 14

- 09.00 12.00: work meeting of the local team Urbact, City Hall of Milan, University of Murcia, and Steffen Wetzstein.

URBACT III CITIES4CSR's main purpose is to address urban and social challenges in a comprehensive manner in the area of ​​the Fatima District and its surroundings, through the creation of an Integral Action Plan in an innovative and collaborative manner, based on participation participation and efforts between citizens, their representatives, businesses and local administration.

This project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) by 85%.

Molina de Segura is one of the 17 Spanish municipalities that participate in the URBACT III program, a set of exchange and learning activities, financed by the European Union through the ERDF, which promotes sustainable integrated urban development, within the framework of the Europe 2020 strategy.
