The City of Molina de Segura has been carrying out, since October 31, a campaign to collect uncontrolled dumping points in the business areas of the municipality.
The work is carried out by the personnel in charge of the shock collection of the Municipal Warehouse, with the collaboration of a special brigade of the Sercomosa municipal company.
So far it has acted in three business areas, the first being the polygon La Estrella, where 10 uncontrolled dumping points have been removed.
The other two business areas are La Polvorista Norte and Sur, where a total of 54 uncontrolled points have been detected.
The performance in these two industrial estates began last Monday, November 4, and so far it has worked on 5 points.
The Councilor for Municipal Services, Sandra Diez Calderero has explained that the spills in these points have been deposited in recent months in the public roads of the business areas of Molina de Segura, by "people who do not respect the minimum standards of hygiene and health , and that they have no urbanity and respect for others. "
Among the collected waste are appliances, armchairs, chairs, cabinets, mattresses, wood, cardboard, pallets, tires, polyester deposits, fiberglass, metal profiles, rubble bags, various materials, plastics, and different other fractions of waste .
And this despite being available to the public the relevant services of selective collection of cardboard, containers, glass, batteries, clothing, oils and other garbage, in addition to a Clean Point located on José Cremades Street in El Tapiado, for the deposit of many other items.
This action is carried out in response to the claims of people, companies and entities that have expressed their discomfort from the dirt accumulated in these areas of such economic importance and that, although not being the responsibility of the Consistory, it has had to attend promptly to give a solution to this problem.
Once the crash action is finished in all industrial areas, the uncontrolled dumping of improper equipment and waste outside the collection containers will be monitored, encouraging citizens to report any such attitude, in pursuit of good operation and optimization of municipal services.
From now on, any person who discharges material or waste in the industrial areas out of the containers without justification, or deposits improper materials on public roads, may be sanctioned by direct surveillance by Local Police.
The campaign is coordinated by the departments of Municipal Services, Public Roads and Public Safety and has the collaboration of Sercomosa and the Business Office, and support in surveillance services by Local Police.
The emergency collection action is being carried out, but a comprehensive citizen information and awareness campaign is underway to eradicate the uncivil behaviors that have resulted in such uncontrolled waste.

Comply with the Municipal Road Cleaning Ordinance (available on the municipal website www.molinadesegura.es).

The municipal authorities will place special emphasis on respecting the rules of coexistence and compliance with ordinances regarding waste and street cleaning.
In this way, spills can be reduced to zero and the vials can be kept clean and in optimal conditions every day.
