The 3rd Molina de Segura Social and Solidarity Economy Fair puts its focus on the climatic emergency and a sustainable economic model (08/11/2019)

500 trees will be delivered to stop climate change

The 3rd Fair of Social and Solidarity Economy of Molina de Segura 2019, Inclusion, Participation, Ecofeminism, promoted by the Molinense City Council and organized by the Network of Alternative and Solidarity Economy (REAS Murcia), will take place on November 15 and 16, in the Plaza of Spain.

The initiative has been presented at a press conference on Friday, November 8, by the Third Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Economic Promotion, José de Haro González, and the Vice President of REAS Murcia, Paula Gorini.

This fair has been designed to offer administrations, companies, entrepreneurs, technicians, consumers, neighborhood associations, social organizations and students experiences around the social and solidarity economy and discuss their possibilities for the future.

The activities have been structured in three blocks: one first destined to the educational centers of Molina de Segura, where, on the one hand, a school poetry contest on climate change has been launched for the 4th to 6th grade courses. Primary education, and, on the other, there have been 12 talks in institutes and training centers, where there has been dialogue about fair trade, ethical finance, circular economy, renewable energy and environmental sustainability.

The second block will take place on Friday, November 15, in the afternoon, with the cycle of conferences on accessibility, participation and sustainability in the Town Hall.

Finally, the third block, the Fair of entities of the social and solidarity economy, which will be held on Saturday, November 16, from 10 am to 9 pm, in the Plaza de España.

The objectives of these activities are to make visible the economic activity based on social and environmental sustainability, strengthen collaborative networks of entities related to the state social market, serve as a model for other institutions or municipalities, bring citizens the options for change to responsible consumption and sustainable and support youth and entities in social entrepreneurship.

The conference program will be held around the themes of climate emergency, inclusion, participation and ecofeminism, in order to offer solutions to the environmental crisis and productive model.

To do this, it will begin on Friday 15, at 5:00 p.m., with the Workshop on Evaluation and Diagnosis of environments in universal accessibility, by Egaleco Facilita;

will continue with the talk about special employment centers, by FEYCSA;

to pass, at 7:00 p.m., to the feminist political economy conference as a brake on climate change, by the doctor of the Department of Economics and Quantitative Methodology of the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville, which will be followed by the round table 4 views on the climatic emergency, in which experts, companies, academics and even citizen platform will participate, to give a global vision of the problem and offer integral solutions from the business, scientific and citizen participation perspective.

Within the program of the fairgrounds on Saturday 16, where more than 30 entities and companies of the municipality and the Region of Murcia will announce their services and their products, the performances aimed at children, with storytelling, awards ceremony are outstanding of the school poetry contest on Climate Emergency and 500 trees for the reforestation of the Molinense environment.

It also highlights the collaboration with the Department of Environment, which will carry out several activities, such as workshops and children's games.
