The Molina de Segura Flower and Craft Market 2019 is held from October 30 to November 1 (25/10/2019)

The 2019 HALLOWEEN SPORT FEST sports event celebrates its third edition on Thursday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m., departing from Plaza de España

The Flower and Craft Market 2019 of Molina de Segura, promoted by the departments of Markets, Tourism, Handicrafts, Culture and Local Festivities of the Molinense Town Hall, is held on October 30 and 31 and November 1, at the entrance to Company Park by Paseo Rosales.

The activity, together with the Halloween Sport Fest 2019 event, organized by the Department of Sports and Health, was presented at a press conference on Friday, October 25, by the Second Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Markets, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, the Councilor of Tourism, Commerce, Crafts and Local Festivities, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, and the Councilor for Sports and Health, Miguel Ángel Cantero García.

The Molinense City Council again organizes the Flower Market this year, continuing with the tradition of selling flowers on the All Saints holiday, carried out since 1992 by the consistory and following that custom that exists in it and others municipalities.

In this call, the market will have 9 flower stands, corresponding to street vendors of the weekly markets of Molina de Segura, authorized for this sale, and also with the participation of an artificial flower stand in the town, all invited to this activity after a call to each florist in the municipality.

This holiday is celebrated in Spain with special characteristics.

A few days before All Saints, the relatives of the deceased move to the cemeteries to honor their dead, with the arrangement of tombs, niches and pantheons and their adornment with all kinds of flowers, among which stand out, by tradition, Chrysanthemums, roses and dahlias.

For this reason, the City of Molina de Segura organizes this Flower Market, with the aim of enabling a point of sale for three days, from 09.00 to 20.00 hours, to facilitate the purchase of flowers to all citizens of this municipality and others nearby, mainly from Vega Media.

The Flower Market will be located at the Entrance to the Company Park by the Rosales Promenade and will also have, as usual, with: stalls selling typical sweets of the time, by the Confectionery Dulce Noah and bakeries Salvador and Virgen de la Fuensanta, from the town, and Jesús Brocal's sweets from Caravaca de la Cruz;

craft stalls throughout the Region of Murcia, which will bring sausages, honey, jams, beer, dolls, point, skin, jewelry, engravings or soaps and natural cosmetics;

and children's and musical activities, which will fill the city with life, waiting for good weather to accompany.

And all this accompanied by an extensive program of complementary activities, which highlights the sporting event HALLOWEEN SPORT FEST 2019, which is held on Thursday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m., through the streets of the city (departure from Plaza de España ).

Halloween Sport Fest consists of a march of disguises with a single issue, Halloween, about 2 kilometers long, through the streets of the town, which can be done jogging, walking, dancing, skating ..., accompanied by mosquitoes, fire jugglers and the Batukada D´Skonan group.

Before the tour, attendees will be able to condition their costume with children's face paint, and sweets will be distributed under the motto Trick or Treat.

During the march the contest of terrifying choreographies will take place.

And, back to Plaza de España, it will end with the traditional costume contest, with a large number of prizes for the different categories.
