Vives Emplea Molina de Segura finishes its first edition with a high level of labor insertion (15/07/2019)

The program, promoted by the Department of Policies for Training and Employment and the Action Against Hunger Foundation, was developed during the first half of 2019 and has had the participation of 24 long-term unemployed people

The Councilman of Policies for the Training and Labor Insertion of the City of Molina de Segura, Eliseo García Cantó, presided, on Thursday, July 11, the working meeting with the Action Against Hunger Foundation to evaluate the results of the actions carried out in the first edition of the program in Molina de Segura, meeting attended by the Director of the Department, Antonio Gomariz Pastor, the Manager of Social and Labor Inclusion Programs in the Region of Murcia and Valencian Community of Action Against Hunger, Laura Caravaca Marín, and the technical managers Irene de Costa and Mª José Pérez, of the Foundation and the Department, respectively.

During the meeting, Action Against Hunger Foundation and the Department showed their satisfaction with the results obtained in the first edition of Vives Emplea Molina de Segura, since the level of job placement at the end of the program was 64% of the participants and 4% of training, finding 67% of women and 71% of men participating.

Eliseo García thanked the effort that the Action Against Hunger Foundation is doing in Molina de Segura and advanced that the Department will support the second edition of Vives Emplea in Molina de Segura, because "it is a novel initiative focused on teamwork oriented directly to the labor insertion ".

He also said that "the Department is committed to consolidate its collaboration with Third Sector entities working in the municipality with the group of unemployed people to improve their employability."

The Vives Emplea Molina de Segura program, aimed at people with greater difficulties in accessing the labor market, has developed, since February 2019, group and personalized sessions, visits to events and employment forums, approaching workshops and meetings with companies to increase the professional contacts and to improve professional and personal competences that allow to generate the conditions of development of the talent and the initiative of the participants.

This initiative, which has funding from the Operational Program for Social Inclusion and Social Economy for the 2014-2020 period (co-financed by the European Social Fund), will continue during the second half of 2019.
