The award ceremony of the Contest for the creation of slogan for the Campaign of Prevention of Addictions, the Municipal Plan of Drug Addiction of the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura, aimed at students of 3rd and 4th of ESO of the municipality, has taken place today, Friday May 24, in the Hall of the Plenary Session Molinense.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, and the representative of the Solidarity and Reintegration Project Proyecto Hombre, María Dolores Egea Parra, attended.
The Department of Social Welfare has launched various actions, aimed at different groups of society affected by the consumption of toxic substances, and also promotes other activities in the field of awareness, training and prevention of drug addiction.
During the 2018/2019 academic year a series of activities have been carried out that have been directed to different areas (family and educational), such as: workshops for informative sessions for parents, sessions and informative workshops for 3rd and 4th ESO students, etc. .
One of the programmed activities has been a Slogan Contest, aimed at students who have participated in the talks, consisting of making a slogan that will later be used to carry out an advertising campaign on the prevention of addictions in the municipality, reflecting leisure and entertainment alternatives. free time in adolescents and promote healthy lifestyles.
The activity was offered to students of 3rd and 4th of ESO of the 12 institutes of the municipality, both public and concerted, where they have taught the different workshops and information sessions on prevention of drug addiction, gambling with bets and abuses of new technologies.
The educational centers that have participated in the informative sessions have been: Vistarreal, Vicente Medina, IES Francisco de Goya, IES Eduardo Linares Lumeras, CEU-San Pablo, Sagrada Familia, Los Olivos, San Jorge, and IES Vega del Táder.
The sessions and talks have been given by the Proyecto Hombre Foundation, with a long history and experience in treatment and prevention of additions.
The winning slogan has been made jointly among the students of the 4th year class of the ESO of the CEU-San Pablo center, to encourage motivation and participation among themselves.
This slogan will be used in an advertising campaign on the prevention of addictions, which will be reflected in some posters that will be placed in the different public centers of the municipality for greater visualization and awareness.
For all these reasons, the following prizes are awarded: tablet for the educational center;
and bonus of activities organized by the company Descensos Blanca, which consists of a rafting activity on the Segura River from Cieza to Blanca with a picnic and transportation included for the 20 students of the winning class.
