"No park / neighborhood without basket / goal", an initiative to take the sport to all areas of Molina (17/05/2019)

Clavero accompanied last Thursday to the neighbors of the District of San Antonio and adjacent to the opening of the new recreational and sports area;

the latest infrastructure set up in the municipality to promote healthy living habits within the framework of coexistence.

Following this health strategy started three years ago with the inauguration of Esther Clavero as Mayor of Molina de Segura, the PSOE program of Molina de Segura continues to consider it essential to provide more sports facilities to the city.

Remember that in the current legislature the Sánchez Cánovas Stadium has been remodeled, artificial turf has been added to the Altorreal and San José Los Angeles fields, improvements have been made to the existing sports centers and two new pavilions have been built, such as some the most outstanding performances.

For Clavero it is essential that sports practice be extended among the entire population and therefore, since its council, programs have been launched that combine sports and knowledge of the natural environment in collaboration with medical centers and totally free of charge.

"Sport does not have an exclusively competitive nature, nor should we belong to a club to practice it, we have to have the opportunity to do it in public spaces and that is why our City Council must enable them to facilitate access." No park / neighborhood without basket / goal "precisely guarantees this access to all equally," says Clavero, who also says "that following this same wake we will implement the Healthy Route of the districts of La Huerta uniting El Llano, Torrealta and Ribera de Molina and taking advantage of Mota del Río and trails and roads and connect the greenway with Huerta de Arriba y Abajo through a bike-pedestrian lane ".

However, the current mayor also considers it important that the clubs have the appropriate means to compete, so the socialist program includes an increase in the funding of subsidies to sports clubs.

"Finally our athletes, along with our artists, are our best ambassadors," says the Socialist candidate.

Decentralizing the sports facilities will also continue to be a priority for Esther Clavero who is committed to the artificial turf of the soccer field of the hamlet of El Llano, as well as to remodel the soccer field of La Torrealta to have a baseball stadium.

The Sports Office will reinforce the participatory nature that has already begun with the Municipal Sports Council and prepare the Segura River for the practice of water sports, it is undoubtedly one of the most ambitious projects, but Clavero remembers that "we can not live on Back to the river, neither in terms of sports, nor in our day to day, Molina de Segura is a privileged city because its river is so close to the urban area it is a fortress that we must take advantage of ".
