Serafín Zubiri, Mikel Herzog and the Music Band of the Professional Conservatory Jaime López de Molina de Segura offer the solidary concert EL BAÚL DE LOS 70 on Friday, June 7 (15/05/2019)

The Department of Education and Local Festivities of the City of Molina de Segura organized the charity concert EL BAÚL DE LOS 70, by the singers Serafín Zubiri and Mikel Herzog and the Music Band of the Professional Conservatory Jaime López de Molina de Segura, directed by the teacher Francisco Javier Paternáin, on Friday, June 7, at 9:30 p.m., at the Tomás Fernández Gil Municipal Auditorium (at Parque de la Compañía).

The price of the ticket is 5 euros, and the collection will go to the Foundation Without Damage.

The event was presented at a press conference today, Wednesday, May 15, in the municipality of Molinense by the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, the Councilman of Local Festivities, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, and the President of the Foundation Without Harm, Paloma Pastor Alfonso

El Baúl de los 70 is a show in which the most representative songs from the 70s are recreated. Songs by artists such as Roberto Carlos, Camilo Sesto, Mocedades, Cecilia, Mari Trini, Pablo Abraira, Miguel Gallardo, Albert Hammond , Joan Manuel Serrat, Nino Bravo, Jose Feliciano, Julio Iglesias, among others, interspersed with the best known potpourri of the legendary group The Prodigious Decade, recall a decade that left a great mark on the history of our recent music.

The life of Serafín Zubiri is an adventure with a constant and defined course: the overcoming through music and sport.

His birth blindness has not prevented him from taking forward his career as an artist, in which he has released 8 albums, and forged an extraordinary sports curriculum.

In 1992 he was chosen to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song Todo es la música.

In the Christmas of that same year he played the central theme of the soundtrack of the Disney film Beauty and the Beast, thanks to which he obtained an important popular repercussion.

In 1999 he worked in the musical show La Magia de Broadway, in which the singer Marta Sánchez also participated.

On May 13, 2000, he represented Spain for the second time at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Hung a Dream", being selected by popular vote.

In September 2007 he began his participation in the sixth edition of the TVE program ¡Mira Quién Baila !, being the first blind contestant in the world who showed his talent for dancing in a program of these characteristics.

In 2012 his eighth album was published, generically titled X a just cause, dedicating each one of the songs to a different social problematic.

This work reflects the sensitivity of this great artist who has wanted to be actively involved with a series of social causes with which he feels especially sensitized and for which it is worth fighting.

In 2013 he participated as a contestant in the program Splash Famosos al Agua, which aired on the Antena 3 network. In this television format, celebrities had to show their abilities to perform jumps from platforms at different heights.

In sports, he has made inroads in sports such as diving, canoeing, parachuting, paragliding, bungee jumping, etc.

However, there are four major axes that stand out in your sporting experience: athletics, mountaineering, tandem cycling and speed skating.

In them he has reaped his most important sporting successes and has achieved his greatest satisfactions.

Mikel Herzog began his professional career at the beginning of the 80s, forming part of numerous groups such as Nekez or Alcatraz Orchestra.

Later he founded a band called Mikel Herzog and Ebony.

Subsequently, the Cadillac group selected him as the drummer of the formation, although his time in this group was short.

Soon he began composing songs for other artists, such as Ricky Martin, among others.

In the early 90's he was part of the Prodigious Decade.

After leaving the band, he produced the first album of the Zapato Veloz group, an album that contains the track Tractor Amarillo, a song that became a great success at that time.

In 1994 he played a duo, with the well-known singer Mónica Naranjo, the theme Hasta el fin del mundo, included in the soundtrack of the animated film La Princesa Cisne.

In 1996 he participated in the Benidorm Festival with the song La magia es amor, winning the Little Mermaid Silver Award and two years later, TVE selected him as the representative of Spain in the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest, with his own song ¿Qué I a hacer? without you?.

From 2001 to 2003 he made the Friends in Concert tour, with his friend and singer Serafín Zubiri.

In 2002 he was part of the TV program team Operación Triunfo, being the director of the post-academy.

He was also director of the concert tour that program carried out in that year throughout Spain.

In 2006 he released a new album titled How Time Passes, with which he allocated funds for the Alzheimer Project, being with it the work of his discography.

In 2007 he was, together with Massiel, one of the advisors of the Eurovision Mission contest, with which TVE selected the representative of Spain for the festival that year.

Currently he alternates his time between a family business and his participation in the show El Baúl de los 70, together with his inseparable friend Serafín Zubiri.
