The presentation of the book Carola Montes wants to be your friend on Facebook, by Carlos Bermejo, will take place on Wednesday, May 15, at 8:00 pm, at the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44), inside of the program of the Book Spring 2019 of Molina de Segura, organized by the Department of Culture of the town council.

Carlos Bermejo Hernández is a native of Molina de Segura and since May 68 he resides between Alicante and San Vicente.

Reader inveterate since childhood and writer in adolescence, he wrote his first novel with fourteen years.

With the secret desire to become a writer, he went to Madrid in the mid-fifties.

Frecuentador of literary gatherings, was presented to some literary prizes, without success.

Military professional, never abandoned his love of letters and fruit of it, are the twenty years he was a contributor to the newspaper Información, correspondent in Alicante of the magazine Yate y Motonáutica and as Press Manager of the Royal Club de Regatas.

Write and critique Art in various media.

Lecturer, presenter in exhibitions and catalogs, has written and edited the books: Look at a painting and something else, in which he collects the portraits of numerous painters who have passed through the workshop he directed and presented at the Association of Artists of Alicante, who is a member and has been a secretary for twelve years;

SYNOPSIS OF THE NOVEL

Year 1970, Carola and Víctor meet at a painting course at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

Carola proposes to Victor to pose for him in his studio and the love between them arises.

After surrendering to their first sexual experience, for two months their affectionate and physical ties are strengthened, while naked they pose for each other.

Until she, a legal minor, discovers that she is pregnant.

From that moment, their lives will change completely.

Before the fear of the consequences that the pregnancy could have for his future career as a painter specially equipped to achieve it, he decides to hide his condition and without giving any explanation, he does not return to the studio and disappears from his life.

She confronts her family, refuses to tell them who has left her pregnant so they do not harm her and decides not to abort against the criterion of her mother, who fears the social scandal among the Madrid nobility to which she belongs.

In 2012, 42 years later and after being widowed of the man with whom he married to give a father to the son fathered with Victor, he seeks it through social networks and asks for friendship on Facebook.

He, who pays homage to his memory embodied in the portrait that made him nude in the fullness and beauty of his 18 years, receives the unexpected request for friendship from him who for him died since that afternoon who missed the appointment to pose and love, and that now he returns from his unknown past to disturb that imperishable memory that lives so alive in his mind.
