Francisco Torres Monreal's book Basic Introduction to Poetry will be presented on Monday, May 13 at the Molina de Segura Book Spring (10/05/2019)

The act of presenting the book Basic Introduction to Poetry, by Francisco Torres Monreal, will take place on Monday, May 13, at 8:00 pm, at the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44), within the program of the Spring Book 2019 of Molina de Segura, organized by the Department of Culture of the town council.

Intervenes, together with the author, Pedro Monreal Teruel.

Francisco Torres Monreal (La Ribera de Molina, 1943) is the author and adapter of key works on the theater, four of them published in Cátedra Teatro panic, Basic history of stage art (thirteen editions), Semiotics theater (three editions), and The madwoman of Chaillot and The Trojan War will not take place.

In the field of poetry, he has focused his choices on Baudelaire The Esplin of Paris, Intimate Writings- and the contemporary poets of French expression, of which he has made four anthologies.

Professor of semiotics and theatrical and poetic translation, he conceives the approach to literature and art as an ethical commitment to oneself and to the world in which we live.

He has taught courses and conferences in different Spanish and foreign universities.

In the field of dramatic creation, he is the author of Baudelaire maldito, El loco de Asís, Guernica and later (www.um.es.ftorres).

Invitation to poetry could also be the title of this book in which it is stated, from the outset, that we are all born with poetic predispositions.

To deny it would be to say that we are born without senses, without feelings, without reason, without aspirations, without dreams.

Poetry is nothing other than the emotional response of our body and spirit, mind and heart - to the stimuli of goodness, truth and beauty of the world.

Poets are the most suitable teachers to teach us the paths of poetry and some of their encounters (with love, time, memory, death, music, writing, reading ...).

With his frequent visits, and with the senses, mind and heart open to art and life in all its manifestations, we will learn to know more and better the world and ourselves;

In short, to live with greater fullness and joy the existence that has been given to us freely.

Three millennia of poetry confirm it.
