Jaime López de Molina de Segura Professional Music Conservatory organizes a violin master class on Tuesday, May 7 and 14 (02/05/2019)

The Rope Department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez of Molina de Segura organizes a master class of violin, by Antonio García Egea, Professor of Violin at the Manuel Massotti Littel Music Conservatory of Murcia, aimed at the students of the specialty of Violin, on Tuesday 7 and Tuesday 14 of May, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium (at the MUDEM).

From Antonio García Egea, in 2015, Plácido Domingo said: "I would like to state that the violinist Antonio García Egea demonstrates a great capacity as an instrumentalist and artist, his discipline and dedication augur an excellent career (...) for all this, I am happy to manifest my warm recognition of his qualities as an artist and I recommend him to take on musical competitions at the highest level ".

Born in Cieza in 1989, he began his musical studies in the conservatory of his native city, under the tutelage of Concepción Fernández, and later, at the Music Conservatory of Murcia with Vicente Cobacho.

In 2006 he began his studies at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia with Joaquín Palomares.

These years date the obtaining of first prizes in the contests of Molina de Segura, International Festival of Youth Orchestras, and the national contest of young interpreters City of Xativa, in which, in addition, is awarded with the scholarship of the contest.

Later, he studied masters at the prestigious Mozarteum University of Salzburg, and at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

With only 21 years old, and for 5 seasons, he plays in the prestigious Orchestra of the Valencian Community of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, co-directed by Lorin Maazel and Zubin Metha, through which the most outstanding personalities of the directors parade, both in the symphonic concerts as in the opera performances.

He has been under the direction of directors of the likes of Valery Gergiev, George Petre, Riccardo Chailly, Vladimir Jurowski, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Omer Meir Wellber, Nicola Luisotti, Plácido Domingo, among others.

In addition, he has recorded the Bohème opera with the Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana, under the direction of Ricardo Chaill;

arias de G. Verdi interpreted by Plácido Domingo;

Paris Mon amour, played by Sonya Yoncheva;

etc.

Among his successes as a performer include those obtained as a soloist of the Concerto de Brahms with the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia: "... Antonio García Egea, who at 21 years old has manifested himself as one of the unquestionable talents of violinistic performance" (The Truth, 2011).

He has been distinguished by the Pro Music Association of Murcia as Pro Musician of the Year 2012 for his career as a musician in the field of solstice and chamber music, and has obtained the 2012 scholarship from the Galindo de Calasparra Foundation.

In August 2015 he obtained a place as an Opposition in the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, and recently, he won, by opposition, the position of Professor of Violin at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia.

In addition, he is guest Concertino of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.
