The Wood Wind Department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes a clarinet recital, given by the clarinetist and former student of the Fernando Luis Fernández Conservatory of Molin, who will perform, together with the pianist Miguel Sánchez García, works by Nielsen, Brahms and Mantovani, on Monday, April 29, at 7:00 pm, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium, at the MUDEM.
Fernando Luis Fernández was born in October 1997 in Santomera, where he began his music studies at the age of 7 at the Euterpe Music-Cultural Association.
In 2009 he moved to the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez de Molina de Segura, where he continued his musical studies in the specialty of clarinet, with Professor Juan Antonio Álvarez, finishing with honors.
During the 2015-16 academic year he took the entrance exams to the Higher Degree, obtaining a place in Murcia and the first place in Castellón, the latter being the place where he continues to train with professors Juan Esteban Romero and José Miguel Martí.
Since 2016 he began to train in the private sphere with the concert artist José Franch-Ballester.
He is an active member of the Young Orchestra of the Province of Alicante and Young Symphony Orchestra of Castellón, collaborator of the Orchestra and Provincial Choir of Jaén and remains on the reserve list at the Young Symphony Orchestra of Soria.
At the beginning of July 2016, he participated, together with the Youth Orchestra of the Province of Alicante, in the prestigious Summa cum Laude International Music Festival, held in the Musikverein Golden Room and in Konzerthaus, obtaining the 2nd prize with mention of honor.
During Christmas 2016/17 he participates, along with the Provincial Orchestra of Jaén, in a tour of China for 16 days, starting in the city of Guangzhou and ending in Beijing, in which he performed nine concerts in eight different cities.
In April 2018 he is invited by the Slovenian clarinetist Darko Brlek to participate in the Ljubiana Festival within the Young Virtuosi part, in which he performs the sextet for wind and piano by F. Poulenc.
In the summer of 2018 he toured throughout the Italian geography, under the baton of maestro Fausto Fungaroli, along with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castellón.
In September 2018 he was selected to participate as clarinet soloist at the Seoul International Community Orchestra Festival (SICOF), held in South Korea.
In 2019 he received a scholarship from the Moros D'Alqueria Foundation to continue his master's studies.
He has received a master class of musicians such as François Benda, Juan Ferrer, Enrique Pérez Piquer, Eduardo Raimundo, James Burke, Nancy Braithwaite, Miguel Espejo and Javier Balaguer, among others.
