The City of Molina de Segura has begun the development of the project to set up a video surveillance system in certain parks of the municipality, as announced today, Thursday, April 25, the Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira.
"There is a social consensus regarding the need to install video surveillance in parks and municipal gardens, for the prevention of vandalism that aims to cause various damages in urban furniture." Therefore, the government team, pondering the public interest of all citizens to enjoy the public spaces of the municipality, as well as to improve public safety in these areas, has determined that it is necessary to use this system, "explains the Mayor.
Specifically, the document that will determine the conditions for the installation of 19 video surveillance cameras in the parks of La Compañía, Huerto Fayrén, Plaza de Europa and Plaza de Fátima is being finalized.
For this purpose, the mandatory report of the Commission of Guarantees of Video Surveillance of the Region of Murcia will be required to proceed to said facilities, as well as the corresponding authorizations to the Government Delegation.
The video surveillance areas will be duly bounded and marked in order to protect the rights of the users.
Likewise, it is expected that this measure will be extended to other parks and places of public participation.
