The Molina de Segura Program Against Gender Violence 2019, organized by the Department of Social Welfare of the Molina de Segura Town Council, was presented at a press conference today, Thursday, April 25, at the door of the El Jardín Center.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García, attended.
The Department of Social Welfare, from the area of ​​Gender Violence, has designed an original brochure link to inform the population of municipal resources on gender violence.
The Molinense City Council allocates an important part of the municipal budget for the Prevention, Awareness and Attention against this social scourge.
It acts on different levels:
INDIVIDUAL LEVEL
From the Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Gender Violence (CAVI), a personalized, comprehensive and free ATTENTION is offered to all women who are being or have been victims of any act of gender violence (physical, psychological, sexual and / or economic), whether or not they have filed a complaint.
The CAVI has the following professionals:

GROUP LEVEL
At the level of groups or groups, special emphasis is placed on the PREVENTION of aggressive behaviors and the improvement of good treatment both physically and emotionally.

The SIVI-CAVI is made up of a multidisciplinary team (social, legal, psychological area) whose purpose is to provide a coordinated response that covers all aspects of the problem presented by each woman and facilitates access to all available resources and benefits appropriate to the personal and social circumstances of each case.
Its objectives are:
Provide comprehensive and personalized assistance that covers the different needs derived from the situation of violence and facilitates access to all the resources and benefits that are most suitable according to the personal and social circumstances of each case.
Orient towards empowerment as the main objective of the intervention, providing the necessary support so that women can regain control of their lives and their autonomy.
Assess risk as a fundamental part in the process of attention to women, in order to activate adequate resources to effectively protect women and their dependents from further attacks.
Increase the security of women and the knowledge of strategies for prevention and protection against gender violence.
Support the woman throughout the process, respecting her evolution.
Combat the vision that the abuser has imposed on herself, on her relationship with him and her environment, and on reality and the world in general.
Increase knowledge about violence and its consequences.
Increase their personal, social and economic resources in order to favor their autonomy.
Modify traditional beliefs about gender roles, sexist attitudes and myths about gender violence.
The professionals of the SIVI-CAVI team participate in a series of common tasks, which have to do with those of organizing the service, and in other cases with those related to awareness and prevention functions as a specialized service in gender violence.
