The Via Crucis Viviente of La Torrealta de Molina is represented on Holy Wednesday, April 17 (15/04/2019)

The representation of the Via Crucis Viviente of La Torrealta de Molina, promoted by the La Cruz de La Torrealta Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Molina de Segura Town Council, will take place on Holy Wednesday, April 17, beginning at 11 p.m. the streets of the hamlet of La Torrealta de Molina.

Each of the 15 stations is developed in scenarios prepared along the route for the occasion, or in natural environments, such as the station of Cirineo, Veronica, Calvary, the Sepulcher and the Resurrection, in order to give naturalness and credibility to the scene.

In the light of the torches and with period costume, more than 100 people, residents of the district, recall the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ.

From the Praetorium, located at the door of the Church, to Golgotha, a mountain located on the outskirts of the town, the last moments of the life of Christ are staged.

The itinerary is as follows: exit from Calle La Mola, and continue along Javier Azagra Street, Church Square, Javier Azagra Street, Alfredo Nobel Street (to the pharmacy), site and solar (pharmacy front), Calle Ramón y Cajal, Calle Isaac Albéniz, Plaza de la Cruz, Maestro Rodrigo Street, Domingo Gil Street, Carmen Conde Street, and García Lorca Street.

Crucifixion site: lots in front of the Ntra. Sra. De los Remedios School (continued on Calle García Lorca), Isaac Albéniz Street, Javier Azagra Street and Church Square.

In each of the stations a narration is made related to the Station itself and to the current moments that society lives.

The lighting, created with natural light throughout the tour of torches carried by the torches and candles carried by the companions, gives authenticity, naturalness and coherence to the staging, creating the necessary environment for reflection and meditation.

Music is one of the fundamental elements of the Via Crucis Viviente;

live music by the Coral Hims Mola, songs during the tour by the participants and classical music at each station, create the necessary environment to connect the scene with the audience.

The Via Crucis is represented since 1998, in this second stage, by the Cultural Association La Cruz de Torrealta, since its origins go back to 1982, when the then parish priest José Moreno, in order to attract young people to the parish, devised this singular Via Crucis, unique in the Region of Murcia.

In addition, on Tuesday, April 16, at 9:00 p.m., in the streets of the hamlet, the third tamborada Vía Crucis de La Torrealta will take place, in charge of the band of drums of the association.
