The City Council of Molina de Segura has approved, on Wednesday, March 20, the public announcement, under the regime of competitive concurrence, of subsidies to be granted, during the year 2019, within the scope of programs of promotion and social insertion, to entities without spirit. of profit that operate in the municipality, as reported by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García.
The budget line allocated for this purpose amounts to a total of 25,000 euros.
The Department of Social Welfare convenes on an annual basis the granting of subsidies referred to spending programs in the field of promotion and social insertion or equivalents, under competitive concurrency, for the financing of expenses of a current nature that have as their object the realization of projects and activities whose purposes are included in the call and appear reflected in the statutes of each entity.
The associations and institutions, legally constituted, that meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries of the subsidies: address in Molina de Segura;
lack of profit motive;
and stable and effective operation in the municipality of Molina de Segura.
Subsidies regulated in this call will not be eligible for entities that during the financial year may be holders of a nominative grant, direct concession or for the signing of a collaboration agreement in social matters with the Molina de Segura Town Council .
According to Ángel Navarro, "the City Council intends to cover the care and prevention of social needs and problems, promoting social sensitivity, solidarity and cooperation initiatives by citizens of Molina de Segura through local associations, contributing in this way to the cohesion of the citizen collaboration against situations of exclusion and social discrimination ".
"With this call, an economic funding channel is established for entities that are not part of the agreements circuit, so that it is possible to provide financial support to any entity in the municipality provided it meets established requirements," says the Councilor for Social Welfare.
"The call establishes a public scale that will be used for the technical proposal, which guarantees greater transparency and technical management.The projects that will be subsidized will perform actions with social groups, and always complementing and collaborating with the resources of the Department of Social Welfare" .
