The Information and Welcome Center of Visitors of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar Salar Gordo of Molina de Segura proposes to know the malvasía cabeciblanca, an endangered species, on Sunday, March 17 (14/03/2019)

The Town Council of Molina de Segura has organized two new environmental activities in the Visitor Information and Welcome Center of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar Salar Gordo on Sunday, March 17.

The center opens its doors on the first and third Sunday of each month, from 10:00 to 14:00 hours, to publicize the environmental values ​​of this wetland, its fauna and flora, as well as the figures of protection, its conservation, equipment, recommendations and standards to make the visit to this protected natural space.

At 10.30 a guided tour of Las Lagunas de Campotéjar will take place, to learn about the protected avifauna of this natural area.

During the tour the assistants will be able to observe the birds present in the space and learn to identify them, through telescope and binoculars.

After the route, at 12.30 a workshop on the white-headed duckling will be held.

Through images and dynamics, curiosities about this species will be known, such as where it lives in the Region of Murcia, what it feeds on, its habits, its reproduction, etc.

To finish the workshop, a craft will be made for the participants to take home.

The workshop is recommended for young people and adults.

Participation is free and it is not necessary to make prior registration, except for groups of more than 10 people.

It is recommended to bring water, hat, sunscreen and comfortable clothes and shoes.
