The City of Molina de Segura has carried out the remodeling works of the Parque de la Barceloneta and Parque Enrique Riquelme (Parque de los bolos), in the San Miguel neighborhood, with a total investment of 126,724.20 euros.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, accompanied by the Councilor for Public Road and Municipal Works, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, will visit the work carried out on Monday, March 4, at 6:00 pm, in the Barceloneta Park, and, at 6.30 pm, at Parque Enrique Riquelme.
Within the actions to improve the infrastructure of parks and gardens, is the remodeling of the Parque de la Barceloneta, made in 2009 but that had major deterioration.
In this garden there were great problems of erosion by runoff water, so it has proceeded to the implementation of several slopes with breakwater and formation of a new ditch, has been treated with polymers on the existing soil of albero , to avoid erosion with torrential rains, and has proceeded to the replacement of security pavements and the arrangement and replacement of some playgrounds that were very deteriorated.
It has also proceeded to the conditioning of the enclosure of the indoor soccer court, which was completely broken and dangerous and to the arrangement of lighting.
Finally, the irrigation and the existent gardening have been improved, recovering for the neighbors this park.
The investment made in arrangements amounted to 79,102.20 euros.
As for the remodeling works of the Enrique Riquelme Park, in the San Miguel neighborhood, this is another of the parks that have been fixed with municipal investment, due to the large number of deficiencies existing in it, which put the risk of realizing activities by children.
We have proceeded to the repair and improvement of slopes in the recessed area of ​​the intermediate platform, as well as to the replacement of the safety pavement and the provision of new playground equipment.
In the lower area, several recessed areas have also been restored, restoring the living areas and improving the accessibility of the neighbors for the park and safety in the realization of activities by children in the playgrounds .
This action has had a cost of 47,622 euros.
