The Department of Education of the City of Molina de Segura has carried out during the courses 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 an investment of 20,780.40 euros in the provision of classrooms for sensory stimulation activities in schools La Inmaculada, Consolación and Cañada de las Eras.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Education, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, visited the new sensory classrooms on Thursday, February 14, EI Consolación and EI Immaculate.
"Our sensations are the main source of all knowledge and, therefore, our learning will depend on all the sensations of the environment, which are explored by our senses, representing a fundamental stimulation in the structural growth of the brain. type of development, municipal children's schools of Molina de Segura have established sensory spaces in their centers to perform specific exercises with the youngest, "explains the Councilor for Education.
The purpose of this type of multisensory spaces is for children to acquire a series of learnings through experimentation and discovery, and that they can also develop their social and cognitive skills.
Therefore, what is intended is to create in children's schools an environment with stimuli where sensations are worked through experiences, giving the children the freedom to explore, discover and enjoy their senses.
"Touching, tasting, smelling, listening and watching must be actions that include all didactic projects dedicated to the first years of life in our centers," says Fuensanta Martínez.
These investments are in addition to the improvement works carried out by the Molina de Segura City Council in La Inmaculada, Consolación and Cañada de las Eras nurseries during the last two years, which have meant a municipal investment of 50,200.19 euros.
The main works have consisted in the restoration of the parks, which suffered a great deterioration, both of the pavements and the playgrounds of the Consolación and La Inmaculada parks.
The investments made have been as detailed below:
Paving of the 1 year park of the La Inmaculada Children's School, with a cost of 8,082.85 euros.
Repair of games in the children's school park Consolación and La Inmaculada, with a cost of 21.576,27 euros.
Elimination and adaptation of sandboxes at La Inmaculada Children's School, with a cost of 4,865 euros.
Conditioning of the park corner of the Consolación Children's School, with a cost of 3,323.24 euros.
Construction of a park with a large playground at the Cañada de las Eras Children's School, at a cost of 12,792.63 euros.
By 2019, the Department of Education will continue with investments in the centers of La Asunción and El Llano de Molina, where it will create new parks and playgrounds.
