The Molina de Segura City Council is studying the remodeling of the Church Square of Our Lady of Los Remedios de La Torrealta, taking advantage of the restoration and improvement work that the Parish Council is carrying out inside and outside the church, as reported by the Mayor, Esther Clavero Mira.
The municipal councilor, together with the Councilor of Public Road, Fuensanta Martínez Jiménez, and municipal technicians last week maintained a first contact, in the same square, with residents of the Molinense hamlet to address this issue and collect their suggestions.
Clavero explained that the works being undertaken in the temple have to be accompanied by a friendly space in the Plaza de la Iglesia with which to respond to local demands, a municipal action, Clavero has specified, with which it will support the declaration of Regional Tourist Interest to be obtained for the Via Crucis Viviente of La Torrealta.
The Councilor of Public Road has reported that the requests made by the residents of La Torrealta pass through to provide the Plaza de la Iglesia with larger green areas with the implementation of planters and a reordering of the current space.
The mayor said that this week there will be a new meeting that will be attended by neighborhood representatives, the pastor of the church and members of the Cultural Association "La Cruz", responsible for the organization of the Via Crucis Viviente that represents on the night of Holy Wednesday through the streets and squares of the Molinense district.
