The Minister of Health, Manuel Villegas today inaugurated the new Therapeutic Unit Endovascular and Minimally Invasive Surgery Hospital de Molina, which incorporates an advanced hybrid operating room.
Villegas valued the collaboration with the agreed health centers of the Region, since it complements the activity of the network of public hospitals and "contributes to speed up the attention to the citizens from the regional health system".
In 2018, the Murcian Health Service (SMS) performed 107,120 surgical procedures, of which 11,483 were performed in private centers with their own doctors.
Of every 100 surgical operations of the SMS, 75 are performed in public centers, 16 in centers arranged with SMS practitioners, in which only their facilities are used, and nine correspond to interventions carried out in centers set up with their own staff.
