The company Trama Teatro (Murcia) represents, with dramaturgy by Ricardo Arqueros, Francisco Pardo and Peca Castillo, the play LA PERRERA, on Saturday, January 19, at 9:00 pm, at the Teatro Villa de Molina (at Avenida del Chorrico, n 10).
The price of admission is 10 euros.
The play, directed by Pepe Castillo, is inspired by the acclaimed Quentin Tarantino film "Reservoir Dogs" (1992), which tells the story of professional mobsters hired to commit a robbery.
The protagonists do not know each other and keep their anonymity hidden under colorful names.
During the robbery the police appears unexpectedly and everything makes suspect that there is an infiltrated traitor.
After finding themselves in an abandoned office, the surviving robbers confront each other trying to discover who has led them to that extreme situation, with a clear emotional concern to fulfill the code of honor and "kill the traitor".
LA PERRERA is a work that belongs to the black genre of dramatic action and is characterized by having a schematic story, featuring well-defined characters and sequences dominated by dynamism and confrontations.
The dialogues touch the comedy and are flooded with ironic commentaries very disconcerting that are prolonged throughout the work.
One of the key elements in LA PERRERA is the narrative form at specific moments: there is fragment disorder and timeless distribution.
A fundamental element in the theme of the work is loyalty, a kind of code of honor ("code of the underworld"), in which the treason is first of all the greatest of sins even though the protagonists do not know each other each.
Another issue addressed is violence, a latent and overwhelming violence;
being unavoidable, it is not too explicit, it is not shown, it is masked with projected image, text and music.
