Bemasa Caps SA, the Spanish company specialized in the manufacture and marketing of caps and packaging machinery, has a new Caps Twist caps manufacturing line that incorporates a PVC-free sealing compound.
This type of compounds without PVC do not need the plasticizers that are normally used for the covers with PVC and, therefore, the migrations of these plasticizers to the packaged product are eliminated, especially for those that contain fats or oils.
The new production line has a machine for the application of the PVC-free sealing compound, which uses an elastomeric thermoplastic (TPE) for the formation of the sealing gasket.
It should be noted that this machine does not need an oven for the polymerization of said compound, since this is applied after its extrusion in the form of a ring and is molded, leaving the lid completely formed.
In addition, it has a production capacity of 500 caps / minute.
Currently, Bemasa has available in production the Caps Twist PVP Free in 63 RTS format, although it is planned to increase production to other sizes, as it is prepared for the manufacture of caps in different formats.
