The Workshop Introduction to the World of Film and Interpretation 2019, organized by the Department of Culture of the Molina de Segura City Council, will be taught by Benito Rabal on January 25 and 26, at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium, at the MUDEM.
The registration period is now open and will be carried out by order of application, in person at the Department of Culture (MUDEM, at Ibn Arabí Street, s / n), or through the email concejalia.cultura@molinadesegura.es The activity is free and those interested in the world of cinema with ages starting at age 16 can participate.
The number of places is 20.
The workshop is intended to explain basically the keys of the cinematographic language and the different processes of an audiovisual work, from the moment the idea arises to its exhibition, with special emphasis on the participation of the various film trades in each of its processes.
Benito Rabal is a film director, screenwriter and writer.
From 1970 to 1984, when he made the leap to Director, he worked as assistant director and director of the second unit with several of the best directors, both national and foreign.
He has also produced films, written and directed theater and several books, apart from teaching courses and workshops in several film schools.
Among his works include The Bastard Brother Of God, The Van, Nazca, Paco, My Father or Curro Jiménez II.
As a filmmaker he has received several awards, such as the film Icarus, the Golden Bear of Berlin, Venice Festival Special Mention, Oscar for the best foreign film, New York Creation Award, and others at the Tenerife Festivals, Peñíscola, Bordeaux, Montpellier and several more.
