The extension of the number of expeditions on bus lines 22 and 47, linking Molina de Segura with Murcia and the UMU and UCAM university campuses, as well as the remodeling of expeditions on line 51, which connects the urban center of Molina de Segura with urbanizations and districts, come into force today Tuesday January 8.
These developments have been presented at a press conference today by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Mobility, Antonio López Vidal.
Due to an increase in population and repeated requests from travelers, the Molinense City Council improves the services of two bus lines, specifically Line 22 between Molina de Segura and Murcia, and Line 47, between Molina de Segura and Campus -UCAM.
In addition, once the use of the recently modified Line 51 La Ribera de Molina-Molina-Los Valientes has been verified, the schedules have been adjusted to reality.
The improvement of Line 22 responds to the demand for an increase in shipments of the current line 22 in the morning rush hour: advance of the start time of the service in winter work (September 1 to June 30), as well as as improvement of the amplitude of the service at night in working days of the whole year.
Currently line 22 provides service between Molina de Segura and Murcia with a frequency of 25 minutes from Monday to Friday working throughout the year, being the first expedition of Molina to Murcia at 07.00 hours, and the last at 21.10 hours;
from Murcia to Molina, the first expedition takes place at 07.25 hours, and the last one at 22.15 hours.
The winter work, the increase in the number of expeditions will focus especially on morning rush hour and late night: advance of the start of the first expeditions and completion of an expedition at 21.35 from Molina to Murcia, and at 22.30 from Murcia to Molina, leaving a service from 06.45 to 09.00, every 15 minutes, from Molina de Segura to Murcia, and from 07.20 to 08.35, every 15 minutes, from Murcia to Molina de Segura, and the last Murcia service to Molina de Segura would take place at 22.30.
This extension represents the increase with respect to the current service of 8 shipments, 3 from Murcia to Molina and 5 from Molina to Murcia.
Summer work, the extension of the number of expeditions will focus on the last of the night, making an expedition at 21.35, from Molina to Murcia, and at 22.30, from Murcia to Molina.
This extension represents the increase with respect to the current service of 2 expeditions, 1 from Murcia to Molina and 1 from Molina to Murcia.
Currently, line 47 provides service between Molina de Segura, Espinardo Campus and UCAM from Monday to Friday, university classes, including periods of exams from September to June.
This proposal contemplates the improvement of the current service of line 47 between Molina de Segura, Espinardo Campus and UCAM, considering that this service constitutes an undeniable improvement in the transportation offer for a significant number of Molina de Segura students, due to the fact that there are faculties of the Espinardo Campus that start their classes at 08:30 hours, and the current service of line 47 does not include service from Molina de Segura to Espinardo Campus so that students are at that time on campus.
The service between Molina de Segura and UCAM is also improved, since currently the last expedition from UCAM to Molina takes place at 20.05 hours and there are university students from the UCAM who finish after that time and do not have the means to return to Molina de Safe.
This service extension includes the realization of a new expedition at 07.45 hours from Molina de Segura to the Espinardo Campus and a new service from UCAM at 21.10 hours.
The proposal of the Line 51 contemplates, in addition to the extension of services, the modification of two of the current expeditions.
Extension of services:
Creation of a new shift in the morning from Monday to Friday, with the aim of improving public transport between Molina de Segura and its urbanizations, constituting an undeniable improvement in the supply of transport for a significant number of inhabitants.
Services provided with the proposed new shift: 2 expeditions from Molina to Los Valientes for El Pino El Romeral, La Quinta, Los Conejos, Los Olivos and La Alcayna developments.
and 2 expeditions by Los Valientes through the urbanizations of La Alcayna, Los Olivos, Los Conejos, La Quinta and El Pino El Romeral to Molina.
Modification of current expeditions:
Currently, the expedition at 2:00 pm from La Ribera de Molina to Los Valientes serves the San Antonio, San Miguel and IES Cañadas de las Eras schools.
With this modification, it would also serve the Los Olivos Educational Center, establishing itself as the time of passage through said center at 15.05 hours.
Another modification is the delay of the expedition at 2.50 pm from Los Valientes to Molina at 3.10 pm.
