The presentation of the programming of the Villa de Molina Theater for the months of February to June 2019, organized by the Department of Culture of the Molina de Segura City Council, took place today, Friday, December 28.
The Mayor of the town, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilman of Culture, Pedro Jesus Martinez Baños, the Director of the Villa de Molina Theater, José Antonio Avilés Moreno, and the actor Nacho Guerreros, protagonist of the play Broken Toys, who form part of the programming.
The Villa de Molina Theater will offer a program in which a total of 23 shows are integrated, and which "is full of great names from the Spanish theater scene, such as Lolita, Loles León, José Sacristán, Carmelo Gómez, Ana Torrent, Ara Malikian , Antonia San Juan, Nacho Guerreros and María Galiana, among others, "says the Councilor for Culture.
Pedro Jesús Martínez has also highlighted, at the local level, the celebration of the II Exhibition of School Theater, which does not appear in the printed program because it is held in the closed environment of the schools, and the Young Theater Exhibition 2019, in the Sazillo School, the IES Francisco de Goya and the French Liceo participate, "for what they suppose both manifestations of bet in the attempt of extension and search of new publics, as well as the participation of the molinense musicians Vicente Prieto and Pedro J Rodriguez and the group The Dire Straits Connection. "
In a schematic way, the program has: seven concerts, five of classical music and two of modern music;
two children's plays for musical theater;
a family show of magic and humor;
two humor shows with monologuists in pairs;
a poetic musical recital;
a dance show;
and nine plays of different classification (classical, modern, comic, tragic, etc).
A varied program that is detailed below:
- Five concerts of classical music, organized by the Asociación Pro Música:
- Trio Klaviol from Italy, on February 1st.
- Trío Fauré, also from Italy, on February 21.
- Recital of piano and flute, by Claudi Arimany and Pedro J. Rodríguez, on March 15.
- Piano recital, by Vicente Prieto, on April 12.
- Singing and piano recital, with Thomas Florio and Andrea Rucli, on May 17.
- Two modern music concerts:
- Ara Malikian presents his Royal Garage World Tour concert on April 28.
- The Dire Straits Connection offer their Tribute to Dire Straits, on May 10.
- Two children's plays for musical theater:
- The Adventure in concert: Tribute to Frozen, Clap Clap Productions, on February 16.
- The Kingdom of the Reverse, by Vita Brevis, includes the songs of Mª Elena Walsh, popularized by Rosa León, on June 1.
- A family show of magic and humor:
- Chequín, with Paulino Gil y Cia., World comic magic prize 2014, on March 23.
- Two humor shows:
- The Derby, by Ninona Producciones, with Comandante Lara and Tony Rodríguez, on February 22.
- Pa 'reirse !, Theater Company of Antonia San Juan, with Antonia San Juan and Sara Escudero, on May 4th.
- A poetic musical recital:
- Lorquianos, Iberkonzert, music and poetry in a tribute to García Lorca, with Loles León, Luis Santana (baritone) and Antonio López (pianist), on March 9th.
- A dance show:
- La Desnudez, Compañía Daniel Abreu, National Dance Award 2014, which at the Max 2018 Awards has received the following awards: Best Dance Show, Best Choreography and Best Male Dancer, on March 30.
- Nine plays:
- Postcards for a Child, Company of Theater More, pertaining to the Foundation Jesus Abandoned, that has obtained the Orange Prize in the category of Social Theater of Murciaaescena 2018, the day 8 of February.
- Fedra, production of the International Festival of Classical Theater of Mérida and Pentación Espectáculos, with Lolita, on February 15th.
- Enrique IV by Luigi Pirandelo, Teatro de la Entrega (Murcia), on February 23.
- Lady in red on a gray background by Miguel Delibes, from Pentación Espectáculos, with José Sacristán, on March 16.
- Los Caciques, based on the work of Carlos Arniches, Alquibla Teatro (Murcia), on April 5.
- Every night of a day, of Pentación Espectáculos, with Carmelo Gómez and Nuria Torrent, on April 13.
- Los Cuernos by Don Friolera de Valle-Inclán, co-production by Morfeo Teatro, Montse Lozano and Gloria Muñoz, on May 3.
- Broken Toys by Carolina Román, Rokamboleskas Productions, with Nacho Guerreros and Kike Guaza, on Saturday, May 18.
- The Magician by Juan Mayorga, Entrecajas Producciones, with María Galiana, José Luis García-Pérez, Clara Sanchís and Tomás Pozzi, on May 31st.
To attend the theatrical shows, there are two tickets, for five shows each, for an amount of 46 euros the first, for the works Fedra, Enrique IV, Lorquianos, Señora de rojo on a gray background and La Desnudez, and 45 euros the second, for the works Los Caciques, Every Night of a Day, Los Cuernos by Don Friolera, Juguetes Rotos and El Mago.
As of February, the new recently approved discounts come into force and remain as follows:
20% for groups of twelve people or more and over 65 years old.
30% for young people between 15 and 30 years old.
35% for unemployed and large families.
The following shows are excluded: Fedra, Tribute to Frozen, Derby, Lorquianos, Ara Malikian, Antonia San Juan and Tribute to Dire Straits.
The Chequín family shows, magic and humor, and the children's musical El Reino del Reverso will be free.
The Cenas del Teatro are kept at a price of 12 euros, with the traditional participation of El Capricho de Baco, Cuatro Rosas Brewery Bar, Don Giovanni Pizzeria, La Gratella and La Marimorena.
For its part, the Mayor has shown his gratitude to the public entities that collaborate with the Villa de Molina Theater and its programming, such as the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts, of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, and INAEM, of the Ministry of Culture, through the Platea program. "
