The XXII Coral Contest Villancicos de Molina, organized by the Molinense City Council and coordinated by the Kodály Choir, is held on Saturday, December 22, at 8:00 pm, at the Villa de Molina Theater (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 10).
The entrance fee is 3 euros.
On this occasion, the contest returns to the competitive format with the intervention of three choirs:
Young Choir of Murcia.
Chorus City of Jaén.
Cor de Cambra d'Elx.
As a forced Christmas carol, the participating choirs will interpret Alegría en el corazón, by Molinense Pedro Sandoval García, and harmonized by Bernadet Kühne.
The contest will award four prizes:
First prize: € 1,500.
Second prize: € 1,000.
Third prize: € 500.
Audience prize: € 300.
The Coral Contest Villancicos de Molina was born as a logical result of the important tradition and choral activity of the municipality.
With its celebration, the Department of Culture intends to continue promoting the development of a cultural practice in which a large number of citizens of Molina de Segura participate.
