The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, the Councilor for Economy and Finance, Urban Planning and Economic Development, José de Haro González, and the head of the Municipal Office of the Molinense City Council, Santiago Pastor Palazón, held, yesterday, Wednesday, the 19th December, an institutional visit to the facilities of the firm AROM SA, located on Avenida Conchita la Comadrona, in the San José neighborhood.
The reason for the visit is to inform the municipal services of management, advice, coordination and control for companies, while establishing a channel of fluid communication between the commercial and the Consistory, through actions aimed at business development.
The facilities were also known by the manager and managers of the company, informing of all the processes, data and news that are taking place in it.
"The City Council has the firm conviction of returning to place the municipality on the map of the main industrial points of the Spanish southeast, through a series of measures and investments aimed at structuring the municipal policy from an economic and industrial point of view," explains Esther Clavero.
José López García, born in 1930, founded in 1971 a small company dedicated to the manufacture of chemical products, in partnership with three other partners, including an economist and a pharmacist, after having had a colonial store in Molina de Segura, and which is still known as Pepe el Cuétara.
After marrying Conchita Abellán, La Comadrona, she has six children: Mari Ángeles, Ana, Antonio, Concepción, Pascual and José Felipe, five of them now in the family business.
The journey began in a warehouse of 1,500 m2, until reaching the current 60,000 m2 of land, half built.
The firm is now one of the largest in Spain in the manufacture of soaps and detergents, specifically the number 18, with an annual turnover of about 20 million euros.
Manufacture of all types of chemical products for perfumery, drugstore, insecticides and air fresheners, with a total of 64 patented brands, including Arrixaca, Trompy, S`nonas, Nuky, La Abuela, Murcia Flowers, Peque, Silver Cup, Cadesfil or Weiss.
It has 18 manufacturing lines, which produce almost 37 million units a year, more than 100,000 a day, of which 20% are aimed at white label.
Produces creams, aerosols, vaselines, cosmetics, air fresheners, detergents and other hygiene, cleaning, sanitary and paramedical products, in its more than 5,000 references.
Its 26 warehouses make it possible to export today 55% of the production to 70 countries around the world, and now it is going to insert its products in the first Spanish commercial chain.
Currently employs 112 workers, of the 5 that began, being a totally equal workforce.
The industry applies an Equality Plan and another for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, at the same time as it has obtained several regional and national awards.
It has all the certificates in terms of security, traceability and trade, such as ISO 9.001, ISO 14.001 or 22.716 / 2007.
Within its 20 industrial buildings, there is a continuous work of quality, patience and care, offering stable employment to the municipality, of which the consistory is very satisfied.
The headquarters is equipped with the latest and most advanced technology, including an R & D laboratory that controls the production, chemical, biological processes, and approval of raw materials and certifications.
The City of Molina de Segura, through its Mayor and its Councilor for Economic Development, wanted to show its irrevocable support for this endearing family business, through this visit from which a series of proposals have come from the company, and a list of measures to be applied by the Consistory, together with many other future collaborations.
