The Molina de Segura City Council allocates 25,000 euros to eight entities of the municipality for projects and social insertion activities (21/11/2018)

The City of Molina de Segura has approved the Local Government Board grants to eight non-profit entities of the municipality during this year 2018 for a total amount of 25,000 euros, as reported by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Angel Navarro García .

The Department of Social Welfare has promoted, for the second time, the granting of grants to nonprofit entities, under competitive competition, during the financial year of 2018, in the field of promotion and social inclusion programs, which operate in the municipality of Molina de Segura, with a budget item that totals 25,000 euros (5,000 euros more than in 2018).

The beneficiaries of the subsidies have been those associations and institutions, legally constituted, that, meeting the requirements established in the bases (domicile and stable operation in Molina de Segura, and lack of profit motive), have been presented in the corresponding term.

Ten entities have been submitted and, according to the assessment of the technical commission established in the bases, funding and the amount of the following entities has been proposed:

The amounts granted to the different entities have been established based on criteria of transparency and technical management.

80% of the entities that have attended have benefited, and the subsidized projects serve more than 500 people, with actions that complement the activity of the municipal social services.

Through this call a system of economic support open to all entities of the municipality is established, with the exception of the exclusive financing of the agreement.

ASSOCIATION AFFECTED RETINA REGION MURCIA (RETIMUR)

The project presented by the Association offers a comprehensive care service to people affected by retinal disease to improve the quality of life at work, social, educational and community level.

Information, Guidance and Counseling activities are developed regarding advances and technical means on retinal disease.

Dissemination and awareness by the association towards the general population through talks, conferences and conferences.

ALBORES ASSOCIATION

He has presented a project called Street Intervention, aimed at minors and adolescents in situations of social and family conflict.

The activities complement the actions of the programs of the Department of Social Welfare, through educational and individualized therapeutic projects that facilitate the incorporation of the child into society.

It is expected that 10 minors will be attended who need therapeutic actions derived by the municipal technicians, since it is a demanded resource in the municipality to cover these needs.

ASSOCIATION HELPS THE RENAL ILLNESS (ADAER)

The project presented by the entity is called Comprehensive Care for People with Renal Disease, and provides a service that meets the individual and group demands of the group and are aimed at improving the quality of life of people with kidney disease through care psychological and nutritional, physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment and get an approach to social resources of the municipality.

ASSOCIATION DISLÉXICOS DE MURCIA (ADIXMUR)

The project presented by the entity is aimed at children with dyslexia problems in situations of social vulnerability and includes a series of actions, providing individual educational sessions and group workshops of social skills that cover the needs of a group of children between 5 and 12 years, whose families have low income and can not afford treatment.

They benefit between 10 and 15 families.

ASSOCIATION MOLINENSE RARE DISEASES (AMER)

It is an association that belongs to the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) that is constituted at the local level with the purpose of contributing to promote information and dissemination of all aspects related to rare diseases.

It provides a service of attention and information, as well as tasks of diffusion, sensitization, talks, and workshops with all those aspects related to any rare disease.

It has 60 partners and has been operating since 2009 in the municipality of Molina de Segura.

MURCIA ASSOCIATION OF LUPUS AND OTHER RELATED ILLNESSES (LUPUS)

The project presented by the entity is aimed at people with lupus disease to promote physical and emotional well-being through sessions of physiotherapy and psychological care.

The project aims to expand the knowledge of social resources that exist in the municipality for this group.

It covers some objectives and community activities and leisure and free time, craft workshops, cultural outings that improve the quality of life of the sick and their families.

ASTRADE

The entity has spent more than 20 years in the municipality lending resources to the group of people with a generalized developmental disorder (ASD) and their families.

The main objective of the subsidized project is to improve and promote the living conditions of these people through actions and developing different workshops and information sessions related to personal skills, cooking workshop, crafts, sports, safety, leisure, etc.

The purpose is to promote healthy lifestyles that facilitate the labor and social reintegration of people diagnosed with developmental disorders.

TEMEHI

The project presented by the association aims to rehabilitate women with problems of alcoholism and addiction to other diseases.

A 24-hour continuous service resource is provided in a residential regime 365 days a year.

The entity has a day center and outpatient treatment and a multidisciplinary team of social worker, educator and psychologist, who are responsible for sports activities, cleaning, socio-therapeutic workshops, family psychoeducation groups, etc., aimed at women beneficiaries of the project.
