The act of presentation of the poems Puerto de sombra, by the writer José Luis Martínez Valero, will take place on Wednesday, October 31, at 8:00 pm, at the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44).
Intervenes, along with the author, his former student, the novelist and editor of La Fea Bourgeoisie Paco López Mengual.
Professor of Language and Literature at the IES Vega del Táder and director of the center for many years, José Luis Martínez Valero (Águilas, 1941) has published several poems throughout his life: Poemas (1982), La puerta falsa (2002) ), The back of the photographer (2003), Plaza de Belluga (2009) and Libro abierto (2010).
As well as essays: The writer and his landscape (2009), Merced, 22 (2013), The island (2013) and Daniel in Auderghem (2015).
He has been director of Steps and dramatic author with works like Three actors and a stage (2006) and Three monologues (2007).
He has also coordinated the Poetry cycle in the General Archive of Murcia (2007-2009) and scriptwriter of the documentaries: Miguel Espinosa and Jorge Guillén in Murcia.
At the same time, he is a water founder and illustrator.
Martínez Valero was one of the poets participating in Composition of Place, the prestigious anthology of contemporary Murcia poets, selected by Luis Bagué and edited by La Fea Bourgeoisie.
Puerto de sombra (La Fea Burguesía, 2018) consists of seventy-five poems.
It can be described as metaphysical poetry, metapoetic and sometimes surreal, because it deals with the mystery of the shadow, often more real than the object itself, where we discovered that cavern, whose testimony is the words, as Martinez Valero reveals in his poem Grisalla .
