The XV Setenil Award 2018 for the Best Book of Stories Published in Spain already has 10 finalists out of a total of 108 titles submitted by publishers and authors from all over the country, in the second most attended edition of its history.
The titles chosen by the pre-selection commission are the following:

Secrets of family, by Santiago Casero (Ediciones Tantín)
The secret mothers, by Mónica Crespo (Editorial Base)
State of exception, by David Gallego (Talentura Books)
The wisdom of breaking bones, by Pablo Matilla (Témenos Ediciones)
A walk through the misfortune of others, by Javier Moreno (Salto de Página)
Strange world, by José Ovejero (Pages of Foam)
Replica, by Miguel Serrano Larraz (Candaya)
The Setenil Prize for Best Story Book Published in Spain, convened by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura and endowed with 10,000 euros, has become an essential national reference in the genre of the story.
In this 15th edition the jury presides the Madrid writer Luisgé Martín, being also vocal Lola López Mondéjar, psychoanalyst and writer, and Basilio Pujante Cascales, professor of Language and doctor in Literature by the University of Murcia.
The jury is scheduled to issue its ruling at the beginning of November.
The prize will be delivered in Molina de Segura in December 2018.
