12 people with labor insertion difficulties participate in a sewing and customer service workshop organized by the Molina de Segura City Council and the Abraham Project Association (04/06/2018)

The City of Molina de Segura, through the Employability Program of the Department of Social Welfare, and the Abraham Project Association carry out a course of sewing and customer service, within the Project Walks Between Fabrics.

A total of 12 people participate, attended by the Department of Social Welfare and selected by its reference professionals, as well as other entities of the Third Sector of the municipality, from April 11 to July 6, Monday to Friday , from 09.30 to 13.30, at the Las Balsas Center (for Skills for Labor Insertion), and Social Center at Punta del Lugar (for textile training).

The aspects valued by professionals when selecting participants are: long-term unemployed persons or those in code 19;

low / average employability;

low qualification and basic studies;

and residents in Molina de Segura and Lorquí.

The objectives of the course, taught by the Proyecto Abraham Association and financed by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, are: to improve the personal and social skills necessary to enter the labor market;

improve specific job training adapted to the characteristics of the participants and the needs of the labor market in the professional textile, clothing and leather family;

and develop a follow-up and follow-up process oriented to the person and their social and work needs.

The project is based on a personalized insertion itinerary, through which people in situations of social vulnerability are accompanied in their passage to the ordinary labor market, thus achieving their social insertion.

Walk between Fabrics includes:

1. Workshop to improve the skills for the labor insertion: in this training work self-esteem, creativity, communication and teamwork, image and tools and resources for job search (28 hours).

2. Occupational training:

- Sewing (100 hours).

- Customer service (40 hours).

3. Non-labor practices: for non-work placements in collaborating companies in the area.

4. Labor Orientation:

Group and individual work orientation.

5. Psychosocial care:

Comprehensive support to the participants through which the coordination with the Social Services or other necessary related resources will be improved.
