The City Council of Molina de Segura granted in 2017 Urgent Necessity Aids and Child Support Aid for an amount of 330,429 euros (09/05/2018)

The City of Molina de Segura processed last year 1,355 records for Social Need Urgent Aids (AUN) and Child Support Aid, of which 1,188 were finally approved, and assuming an amount of 330,429 euros that have benefited 629 families , according to the Councilor for Social Welfare, Ángel Navarro García.

The food aid item, with 130,615.45 euros was the highest, followed by rent (80,875 euros), books and school supplies (47,717.54 euros), electricity supply (31,109.38 euros), bus voucher ( 2,000 euros) and pharmacy (1,719.34 euros).

In other cases, 36,392.63 euros were allocated.

Social Need Urgent Aids (AUN), are economic contributions punctual or limited period, designed to alleviate or resolve situations of social emergency, prevent situations of social exclusion and promote full social integration of the population sectors lacking economic resources own for the attention of their basic needs.

On the other hand, the Financial Aids to Support Children, are aimed at supporting families with dependent children in order to meet the essential social needs of these children.

The criteria established for the provision of these aids are included in two municipal ordinances dated October 5, 2017. Previously, the processing of the files was exposed to arbitrariness, generating unequal attention, as specified by the Councilor for Social Welfare.

Ángel Navarro explained that the Department of Social Welfare is aware of the situations of difficulty that certain citizens have, and among its actions is trying to solve the problems presented by this sector of the Molinense population and avoid possible situations of social exclusion to which are exposed.

With this objective, from Social Welfare, the essential aspects for the development of a dignified life (food, rent, pharmacy, light, books and school material, among others) are addressed, working together with other aspects that help these people to overcome your situation.

All the files are processed and evaluated by the technicians of the Department of Social Welfare, following the criteria established for it in the two municipal ordinances mentioned.

To be able to have access to the aids, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be over 18 years of age or legally emancipated minor.

2. Reside and be registered in the municipality of Molina de Segura at least 6 months before the date of application, except for exceptional situations

3. That the calculation of the monthly average of the income of the family unit in the last 2 months does not exceed the income threshold established according to family typology and number of members.

4. That the family unit does not have movable or immovable property, other than the habitual residence, over which a property, possession, usufruct or any other right is possessed that, by its characteristics, valuation, possibility of exploitation or sale, Indicate the existence of sufficient means to meet the need for which the assistance is requested.

5. Not having access to other grants from other Public Administrations or own resources.

Applications can be submitted to the decentralized municipal centers of La Cerámica, Las Balsas, San Roque, La Alcayna, Altorreal, El Llano de Molina, La Torrealta, La Ribera and El Fenazar.
