The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Minister of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Cerdá Cerdá, have made, on Tuesday 25 May, a visit to the construction of the General System Collectors Area North Molina de Segura.
They were accompanied on the visit, the Director General of Water in the Region of Murcia, Miguel Angel Ródenas Cañada, Councilman Works and Infrastructure, Daniel Soltero Chaves, and the Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosaura Meseguer.
The collection network will transport the wastewater volumes across the northern area of the municipality directly to the main sewage Campotéjar, which will, among other improvements, energy savings and the elimination of three small and old treatment plants, whose ability to debug is very limited.
With the construction of this system Molina North General, the entire area south of Molina de Segura, located below the highway, will increase the capacity of waste water, residual and rainwater.
It will improve the quality of water to try to reduce the circulation time in the collectors.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Water is currently running work in the municipality by value of 7,600,000 euros, which are financed by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union.
The five projects under the General System of collectors who are currently running are:
- Collector General North: work performed by the company SA Irrigation, Roads and Works (SARCO), consisting of the installation of a HDPE pipe DN 800 mm coextrusada., With a length of 2,156, 40 yards.
- Drive North Pump Station Molina and Wastewater (EBAR) The Romeral: consists of a stretch EBAR driven and whose works carried out Excomti Development Company.
The discharge pipe has a length of 5,537 meters and the project is also well coarse sieve roughing automatic regulation tank of 4,000 m3, cleaning nozzles, agitators, well pump and electrical panel.
- Collector sanitation in the area of Las Salinas, the works involve the installation of a sanitation pipe polypropylene (a stretch of 561 meters of pipe with a diameter of 1,000 mm. And another length of 1,059 meters of pipe with a diameter 800 mm.) holding company and León Ferrer, SL

The discharge pipe has a length of 1041.51 meters and the works are carried out by Ferrovial Agroman.
