The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, now shared the traditional "tasting crumbs', organized by the Community Center Senior Molina de Segura to celebrate its 36 anniversary, one of the events scheduled for that purpose between 11 and 30 of this month.
He was accompanied by the managing director of the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS), Isabel Sola, the Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, John Brown, and Mayor Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, along with other members of the Corporation municipal.
Crumbs tasting has become a familiar and much-awaited celebration in Molina de Segura, both members of the Social Centre, for the neighbors.
Hence, it has maintained since the first anniversary celebrations of the center.
About 50 people prepared a dozen crumb pans that need about 20 kilos of flour, besides the desired trips, mostly derived from pork, and rib, lean, black pudding and bacon, that later in Pensioner Square, sampled about 350 people.
This date is considered a day's Social Centre open to anyone who wants to come and meet him and, at the same time, the journey becomes an intergenerational activity, because users often bring their grandchildren to learn how to do This dish of earth.
This helps to maintain and pass on from one generation to another popular traditions that are part and enrich the cultural heritage of the region.
Other activities planned for the anniversary of the Centre are dancing, cheerleading competitions, visits to the Shrine of Fuensanta, theater, sporting events, trips to Ruidera and an offering of flowers to Our Lady of Consolation.
Senior Social Centre de Molina, opened in May 1974, has about 9,500 members.
Since September 1998, has a Day Care Service, with 20 seats, managed by Messengers of Peace.
In 2009 there have renovation and rehabilitation, which included a new kitchen, amounting to 178,866 euros.
