The Young Performers Competition 2010 Villa de Molina hands out awards during a gala held on Saturday May 8 (11/05/2010)

The Gala and Awards Ceremony of the Young Performers Competition II Villa de Molina 2010, organized by the Culture Department of the City of Molina de Segura, Virginia Batuta Association and the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez, was held on Saturday 8 May, elTeatro Villa de Molina.

The event was attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Councillor of Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles.

In the contest organizers collaborate Hims Chamber Orchestra Mola, the Association for Music in Molina de Segura, and Polyphonic Choir MunicipalHims Mola.

The contest was organized in the categories of piano and strings (violin, viola, cello and bass).

Participants could compete in one of the modes in the following Lessons: Basic, Professional / Intermediate and Advanced.

Following the completion of pre-and end in April, at the gala was announced the jury's verdict, which awarded the following participants:

Piano (Basic Training)

FIRST PRIZE: Olivia Patricia Sánchez Figueras.

SECOND PRIZE: Lázaro Fernández Millán.

Piano (Professional Education 1, 2 and 3 grade)

FIRST PRIZE: David López Escudero.

Piano (Professional Education 4 th, 5 th and 6 th grade)

FIRST PRIZE: Vicente Javier Prieto Martínez.

PIANO (Higher Education)

FIRST PRIZE: José Antonio Candel Campillo.

SECOND PRIZE: Yanira Carrillo Puerta.

Rope (Basic Training)

FIRST PRIZE: Mariano Miguel Baró Tomé.

SECOND PRIZE: David Olmos de Pascual.

Rope (Professional Education 1, 2 and 3 grade)

FIRST PRIZE: Miguel Ángel Ros Soto.

Rope (Professional Education 4 th, 5 th and 6 th grade)

FIRST PRIZE: Luis Miguel Abellán Losada.

Vicente Javier Prieto Martínez.

The program of the gala included a performance by young artists Antonio García Egea, violin, and José Antonio Candel Campillo, piano, winners of the first edition.

The event was closed by the Virginia Martínez Fernández, artistic director of the Young Performers Competition II Villa de Molina and chief conductor of the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia.

The winners of the respective first prizes of the different types and levels of education have the possibility to participate in concerts with the orchestras: Hims Mola, Conservatories of Murcia and in concert in Italy organized by the Association for Music Molina de Segura.
